My Journey as a Software Engineer(UI)

In the summer of 2023, I embraced the opportunity to contribute to Portion, a dynamic company at the forefront of the industry. Little did I know that this journey would be a catalyst for my professional growth.

Equipped with a foundation in web application development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, I dove headfirst into Portion's projects, eager to apply and expand my skills. Portion has been more than a workplace; it's been a dynamic learning environment that has propelled my skill set to new heights. Here's how my skills have evolved:

  • I enhanced my proficiency in CSS and JavaScript, and leveraged Bootstrap and jQuery to craft seamless and visually appealing user interfaces.
  • Portion exposed me to the world of full-stack development. I delved into PHP, various frameworks, and database management, broadening my capabilities beyond front-end development.
  • Beyond technical skills, my time at Portion taught me the value of friendship and leadership. Collaborating with talented individuals, I honed my leadership skills and developed lasting professional relationships.

My Journey as a Software Engineer(Web Application)

Greetings from Portion Private Limited, where I started my career in June as a trainee software developer. Despite the difficulties that come with working remotely, these recent six months have been a transformative experience. In my opinion, Portion is not just a workplace, it's a dynamic community of innovative minds. I have had the privilege of working alongside brilliant and encouraging teammates, who have made settling in easy for me. Every day is delightful and fulfilling at Portion because of the supportive atmosphere here. Most important aspect has been the chance to explore a variety of software engineering-related topics. I've been able to expand my skill set and get practical experience in areas outside of my range thanks to a number of attempts. Despite the remote environment, teamwork and communication have improved. I feel more engaged and connected now with regular team meetings, and virtual collaborations. It is apparent that the company is dedicated to creating a healthy work environment because of colleagues and mentors always provide support and encouragement. I've improved my technical abilities and got more knowledge of the software development life cycle in this brief time as well. The support of my team has been key in helping me overcome difficulties despite the challenging learning path. In retrospect, I am grateful of the growth and experience I got while working at Portion. It's been a rewarding experience, and I'm excited to share my knowledge and keep learning in this exciting and innovative environment.
